West Coast Swing – what is it?
West Coast Swing is a smooth dance of great style and beautiful connection between the 2 dancers. Often called the “Dancers’ Dance” because of it’s style, musicality and freedom of expression. Our monthly workshops are great fun and an excellent way to enhance your dancing.
Workshops: 27th March, 1st May, 5th June, 3rd July, 7th August, 2nd October & 30th October
Venue: Bramcote Memorial Hall, Church Street, Bramcote, Nottingham. NG9 3HD.
Beginner Workshop:
- 11am to 12pm Workshop
- 12 to 12:30 Coached practice
- £5 per person
- Pre-book for gender balancing
Intermediate Workshop:
- 12:15 to 12:30pm Warm up
- 12:30 to 3:30pm Workshop
- 3:30 to 4pm Coached practice
- £20 each or £30 couple
- Pre-book for gender balancing
Social events: we dance West Coast Swing at our monthly Collaboration freestyles.

Free Dance Beat and Dance Workshop Schools
Make new friends, keep fit and learn one of the world’s favorite pastimes. Join our dance community and you’ll soon be dancing the night away. We hold regularly weekly classes and monthly workshops so you’ll be able to learn any of our fabulous dance styles. Salsa, Modern Jive, West Coast Swing and Argentine Tango. We also have regularly social events at the weekend and we even run an annual weekend holiday in Scarborough with over a hundred dancers having a fabulous time together. Don’t worry if you have two left feet – most people do when they start. We’ll quickly have you dancing confidently. Remember – we’ve been running classes for over 15 years – so we know how to get new dancers strutting their stuff. If you’ve thought about trying dance classes before, but never got round to it drop us a line and we’ll make youo most welcome. No partner needed – but if you have one that’s great to.
